HOLIDAY MAKER
Since January 1975, the Working Holiday Maker (WHM) programme has promoted deeper ties amongst young people in Australia and all over the world. Young individuals who are resourceful, independent, and flexible can take a year off and vacation in Australia thanks to this programme. This programme for cultural exchange enables young travellers to take an extended vacation while also working temporarily, studying, and earning money. A working holiday promises exploration, discovery, and adventure. You can fully commit to a new way of living. In Australia, companionship, cuisine, the ocean, and the desert all play important parts in daily life. You’re sure to experience Australia’s breathtaking scenery and diverse fauna while on a working holiday. You may tailor your year abroad because you are free to work as much or as little as you like.
There are two types of Working Holiday Maker (WHM) visas. These are subclass 462 and subclass 417. For subclass 462 immigration department asked more document otherwise both visa holders enjoy the same work right.
Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462)
An applicant is allowed to work for a period of 12 months in Australia in specified work, in a specific area. This can be renewed for second and third working holiday visas if the applicant complies with the visa conditions and does not violate any visa conditions and has not previously applied for a subclass 462.
WORK RIGHT
- This visa allow applicant to work for a period of 12 months.
VISA COST AND PROCESSING TIME
- Cost AUD $510 and processing time 17 days-7 months.
GENERAL CRITERIA FOR VISA SUBCLASS 462
- Age: Must be 18-30 (Except for France, Canada, Ireland, Denmark, and Italy age up to 35).
- Identity documents: Passport from an eligible country.
- Applicants cannot include any family member or dependents on this visa.
- Allowed to study up to four months.
- Applicant must have a letter of support from their own government for subclass 462.
- Evidence of English language: Must meet Functional English language skills for subclass 462.
- Education documents are required depends on country of citizen for subclass 462.
- Applicants are usually allowed to work with same employer for 6 months.
- Finance: At least AUD $5,000.
- Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) criteria: Must be satisfied, valid reason and reliable documents are required to support an application.
- Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC): Maintain adequate health insurance during the time of stay in Australia.
- Health requirement: Must meet the health requirement be free from any diseases and health condition.
- Character requirement: Must be a good character, no criminal record, or police case anywhere.
