Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Our Company provides qualification upgrades through the national Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). We work with the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) as an agent across Australia, and all the qualifications will be issued by RTO.
What is the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
RPL is a process that involves the assessment of an individual’s prior knowledge and learning. It includes formal, informal, and VET learning in Australia or oversees. This involves some form of assessment and requirement of evidence, to demonstrate to your assessor, that you are in fact competent in a unit, or all units of the qualification. RPL is issued by Registered Training Organization (RTO) based on the assessment of an individual’s previous learnings, that is equivalent to the learning outcomes of Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
RPL is generally an easier, faster, and more flexible process when compared to undertaking a qualification through the regular training and assessment pathway.
Goal of RPLs
To promote lifelong learning and flexibility inside and across the educational process and the labour market.
Expanding possibilities for socially disadvantaged individuals to access education to provide them a better chance to compete on the job market and become a valuable resource for society.
Conditions that must be met for a RPL assessment
It must provide authentic & sufficient evidence to validate their experience.
Should be able to recognise their knowledge, regardless of how, when, or where it was acquired.
Steps to completing your RPL assessment
Identifying what documents or evidence are required to complete the process.
Gathering the documents needed, to create a portfolio for the client.
Forward documents to our associate RTOs for initial document assessment, to verify the competency of the student.
And finally, once our associated RTO have assessed the competency of the student, it will be issued by the college.
